How to send your first files through MassTransit in 5 easy steps

Follow this step by step guide to quickly use the MassTransit web client to send files to anyone. If you are running a trial version, there is a test account already created for you.

If you need to securely send one or more files of up to 2 GB in size you can use the standard HTTP(S) mode of operation. If you are a "Power User" and you need to transfer Windows or Mac files, or entire folders of any size, at ultra fast speed, with the convenience of Drag & Drop, you should use the Web Client Plug-In. You can switch from HTTP to Plug-in mode and vice-versa by clicking the "Switch to use HTTP" or "Switch to use MassTransit Plug-in" link in the Control Bar located in the Send Files and Download Files pages after you login.

1. Using a web browser, enter the URL or IP address of the MassTransit server.

2. Enter a User Name and Password then click Login. The User Name and Password for your preconfigured web client account are "test" and "masstransit123!".

3. Click the Send Files tab. You can now type a valid e-mail address in the "To" field for the recipient of your files (you can try sending the files to yourself by entering your own e-mail address). In the To field you can enter one or more addresses separated by semicolons.

4. Click the Select Files button to select the files you want to send. You can also enter text in the Subject and Message fields.

5. Click the Send button.

Once the transfer is complete, the recipient will get an email with a link to download the file.

View the log: Click the View Log tab to audit all aspects of the file transfer process. This includes when files were sent, who sent them, when they were received and if any failures occurred.

Get reports: Click the Reports tab. Administrators and authorized users can view who is using the system, how much data is being transferred, monitor system health, identify file transfer bottlenecks and statistics. The data can even be exported to your desktop so you can load it in a spreadsheet or other applications.
