ExtremeZ-IP Hot Fix Release History - Version 3.2
Version 3.2 releases are downloaded as either standalone hot fixes or full installer packages. Every installer is cumulative and includes all updates from previous versions.
To install a full installer release:
- After unzipping the downloaded file, you will be presented with an executable installer.
- Run the installer and your ExtremeZ-IP installation will be updated and all settings will be retained.
To install a standalone hot fix release:
- Extract the downloaded components from the zip file.
- Stop the ExtremeZ-IP Service.
- Close the ExtremeZ-IP Administrator if it is open.
- Replace your files with those in the zip file.
- Launch ExtremeZ-IP Administrator.exe.

ExtremeZ-IP 3.2.2x15 (released 7/1/2005) - Full File Installer - Full Print Installer
- Improved performance of the home directory feature - replaced iterating through volume root's children with binary search for the home directory.
- Implemented an option for creating hang logs by renaming the log file instead of making a copy of it. RenameCopyDebugLog registry parameter has to be set to 1 in order to enable the feature.
- Implemented logging AFPWrite commands when AFP command logging is enabled.
- Implemented storing current version number in the registry (stored in the Version string value).
- Fixed displaying inaccessible folders - instead of being grayed out and disappearing when clicked on, those are displayed with the "no access" mark.
- Disabled guest access to home directory volumes.

- Further improved Native API logging (suppressed irrelevant messages).
- Implemented using a user name as a home directory for filtering out volume root enumeration results.

- Improved debug logging (several logging messages have been discarded in order to make debug logs more informative).
- Implemented an option for turning off memory mapping when writing files to the server.
- Implemented home directory feature -- initial volume enumerations can be filtered by the home directory stored in a user's profile on the domain controller.

- Fixed a crash in the administrator UI when changing color scheme.
- Fixed problems with disconnecting a volume that contains drop folders.
- Fixed service crashes when shutting down with suspended volumes.

ExtremeZ-IP 3.2.1x07 (released 9/9/2004) - Full File Installer - Full Print Installer
- Reversed separate send thread to off by default.
- Added registry key called "RespondsToTickles" when set to 0 will change ExtremeZ-IP behavior so that it does not respond to a client-side tickle with a tickle of its own.
- Added option to prevent users from seeing files for which they do not have at least "read attributes" privileges.
- Fixed DHX encryption problem with zero high order byte keys.

- Fixed problem where restarting a volume from the UI crashed the service.
