Why Choose ExtremeZ-IP File Server?
Group Logic is dedicated to providing direct support for our
customers. Mac users are a small fraction of Microsoft's Windows
Server business and support for users of Service for Macintosh (SFM)
has, in the past, been less than adequate. Many of our customers
chose ExtremeZ-IP based on the fact that they have a direct line to
the engineers who work on the software and they know that if a
problem does arise, they are sure to get a speedy and satisfactory
resolution.

"I have used both [ExtremeZ-IP and MacServerIP]. MacServerIP...tested well, but I found it did not deal well with applications requesting scanning of a large number of files. For example, Retrospect, when it begins a backup, scans the folders for the file names... The other Mac clients would hang up, waiting for the scanning workstation to finish... For the most part [ExtremeZ-IP] seem[ed] to perform comparably, but does not exhibit the behavior of dragging down the network when one client scans a folder with many files... I can confidently say that I am comfortable enough now to bet my entire Mac network on ExtremeZ-IP as my IP solution."
