A Protocol for Every Purpose
MassTransit supports several protocols, each ideal for different requirements. The protocols are HTTP, HTTPS, MTAP and FTP. The encrypted HTTPS protocol is ideal for most business purposes that require the transfer of files up to 100MB each. Both HTTP and HTTPS support nearly any Internet connection and connect through firewalls and proxy servers. HTTPS provides industry standard encryption via SSL and uses SSL certificates to ensure file transfers are as secure as online banking. MTAP, the MassTransit Advanced Protocol, provides a number of important enhancements over HTTPS and FTP. MTAP can handle file sizes up to 50GB, offers additional encryption options, and handles folders/directories, compression and cross platform compatibility without the extra step of zipping and unzipping. To support transfers to partners who don't have MassTransit, the product includes the FTP protocol that allows connections from standard FTP clients and legacy FTP servers.

New user accounts are automatically provisioned when users are assigned to a group within Active Directory Directory and groups automatically manage other user settings. For tasks not handled by AD, MassTransit can be administered remotely, and most administrative tasks can be automated and scheduled, including regular file purging, database optimization and backup processes.
